Description:
Zinoral soap contains the synthetic broad spectrum antifungal agent Ketoconazole. ketoconazole a synthetic imidazole dioxelane derivative, has a potent antimycotic activity against dermetophytes such as trychophyton sp. Epidermophyton floccosum and microsporum sp and yeasts, Specially the effect on pityrosporum sp is very pronounced, usually Ketonconazole Soap (Zinoral soap) acts very rapidly on pruritus which is commonly seen in dermatophyte and yeast infections as well as skin conditions relate with the presence of pityrosporum sp. this symptomatic improvement is observed before first signs of healing are observed.

Composiotion:
Each Zinoral soap Bar Contains
Ketoconazole 1 % w/w in detergent base with mild fragrance.

Mechanism of action:
The antifungal Ketoconazole probably act by more than one mechanism. It inhibits formation of ergosteral, an important constituent of the fungal cell wall, which is become permeable to intracellular constituents.
Ketoconazole also interfere with the enzymes that generate and inactivate hydrogen peroxide, the intracellualr concentration of which reses, causing death by auo digestion.

 

 



Indications:
Zinoral soap is indicated for extermal use only in the treatment of dermatophyte infections of he skin : tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus and tinea pedis due to trychophyton rubrum, trychophyton mentogophytes microspam canis and epidermophyton floccosum as well as in the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis, tinea (pityriasis) versicolor & Candidal Vulvo-vaginitis.

Dosage and administration:
It is recommended that cleaning the affected area by inoral soap once or twice daily depending on the severity of infection, or suggested by the physician. Treatment should be continued for a sufficient period, at least until a few days after disappearance of all symptoms.

The usual duraton of teatment is an v F diagnosis should be reconsidered if no clinical improvement is noted after 4 weeks of use.
General measures in regard to hygiene should be observed to control sources of infection or reinfection.

Irnportant note ! Keep a separate towel and flannel to your own use, in this way one avoid infecting other people. Regularly change clothing which comes into contact which comes into contact with infected skin in order to avoid reinfecting

Special warnings and special precautions for use:
Zinoral soap in not for ophthalmic usage, if prouct gets into eyes,

Rinse thoroughly with water.

Stop using these soaps if rash appears.

Condition Warsens of does not improve in 2/4 weeks.

Pharmacokinetics:
Zinoral soap does not produce detectable blood levels after external use.

Contraindication:
Zinoral soap is contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any of it's ingredients.

Undesirable effects:
A few instances of irritation and burning sensation have been observed during such as contact dermatitis have been associated with ketoconazole.
